    Your Helios 44M-4 f/2 58mm lens sample, has better specs than my lens. .*@:-)

    Oh, that's interesting, I think that's my newer-date Helios 44M-4 (# 90001161). Often the older lenses are better. I do not like the Helios M44-6. I love the 44-2 :-)

    My ZENIT HELIOS-44M-4 lens 'had' a serial # printed at the original barrel: 90624713.
    After the aperture blades rivets broke up, I asked the camera technician to transfer the 6 lens elemets to a newer ZENIT MC HELIOS-44M-4 lens barrel.

    Whenever I see photos (in this website) taken by ZENIT HELIOS-44M-4 lens, I study the quality of the photos if they have the same 'character' as my ZENIT HELIOS-44M-4 lens. Usually we have almost the same lens 'character'.
