The Man Behind the Giant La Sardina

When you enter Lomography Gallery Store Singapore, you will not fail to notice this giant La Sardina. It's sitting quietly there like a tame baby but it's so adorable that everyone will want to hug and fiddle with it! It has been held, pinched, touched, kissed, hugged and worn by hundreds of people. But have you ever wondered who the man the man behind the magnificent La Sardina is?

  • Adox Silvermax 100, Nikon FM, Pushed from 100 to…

    shared by raylemon on 2013-01-17

Our dear Lomography Gallery Store Singapore staff! *Bought 3 rolls of these films from Germany. It supposedly has very high silver content, which means it is suitable for push processing. Was taught by this pro(the kind old man with a macbook in this album) that Singapore's monsoon season is best for bw photography. He told me to go try and shoot a few stops higher, then push process, so I can capture the essence of the rain. I was so happy when i received the negatives from him(yes I passed it to him to develop). I used 100asa film, shot at 400 iso. I was exhilarated when I saw my scans! This Adox Silvermax is now my favourite Black and White film. It has such clarity even after pushing 2 stops. Totally love it! My favourite album so far! :D

Ingredients - 1 roll of exposed film. 1 cup of bleach. 1 dishwasher. 1 hairdryer. The recipe - Leave the film to soak in the bleach for around half an hour, then bring the bleach to the boil and simmer gently for around 10 minutes. Remove film from bleach and put in the dishwasher on it's most intensive cycle. Remove from the dishwasher and blast with the hairdryer for as long as you can be bothered. Finally leave on a radiator for a month while you go on holiday. :D
