As a child, I had a Kodak Cameo Motor 110 camera with a pop-up flash. Actually, I had two. The first one got filled with sand when I tried to take a photo of a beach during a storm. The second one was a free replacement from Kodak who clearly didn't take it apart to discover what the 'mystery fault' was.
With the start of the twenty-first century I switched from the increasingly rare 110 film to a digital camera, followed by another, plus phone cameras, with wavering degrees of enthusiasm.
In January 2023, I rekindled my relationship with film, using a Zenit TTL that used to belong to a friend of my grandparents, and which was given to me by my uncle. The Zenit is temperamental, so I bought a Centon K100. I'm hoping my dad doesn't want his rediscovered Olympus XA back, and I have been given a Zorki 4 by a friend.
