    shared by mafiosa on 2013-06-07

Here is another set of photos using my Intax Photo Collage Optical Illusion technique (tipster: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/02/26/instax-photo-collage-optical-illusion). In some of these photos, I combined it with a magnification experiment (tipster: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/06/21/magnification-made-easy).

Too bad about the annoying scratches but this was a fun first attempt at multi color filters. A regular Tiffen 58mm UV filter almost will slip over the front of the Sprocket Rocket. If only it didn't have threading inside it would go right over. But, a little gaffer's tape holds it on easily enough. I lined the inside of the filter with strips of plastic from a $3 gel sample pack from B&H that I had cut with pinking shears to give a jagged edge. Not bad, but better results next time.

Like most Belair users, I did encounter a few problems - bellows not staying shut, fat roll, couldn't check battery was working and infinity focus a bit out. BUT, I am quite happy with my first shots from it. They are not too bad.

  • The Sea Salt Experience

    shared by vicuna on 2010-09-07

I used this film with my fisheye with submarine case. Unfortunately, my submarine had some water leaks and the salted seawater came inside the camera and the film... When I gave it to my usual lab, they told me they couldn't process it as the film was wet... :( So I waited for a solution and let the film like that, unprocessed, in my room. After a month, I noticed that some strange signs of corrosion were to seen on the film canister, and thought that perhaps there was something interesting happening inside! But how could I process it??? And there I thought that this could interest Mr LabRat himself: Mandi! I wrote him and asked if he could process the film for me. And finally, almost 3 months after being shot, after a long maturation time and some special treatment to dry and process it, the pictures are here! Thanks a lot Mandi! ;)

My favourite colour negative film so far. The colours are natural and I hardly see any grain in these photos(I don't really like grains). It is also very versatile.
