Taking your analogue material on a boat is a challenge. Keeping everything dry on an island hopping tour in Palawan proved as very difficult. In between moisture got into my lca 120 and a few films got stuck. what a drag. Didn't get all the shots I wanted, but the ones I have make me happy...

if you are a patatoe from mainland europe one is really still amazed by toothpick palms and impeccable beaches like the one at Nacpan, close to El Nido. I had the best time there and before I could lie down I was framing everything and capturing it for you....

I knew I had only a brief moment to have Apo Whang Od for a portrait. I had to wait for the 100 year old to finish her session to go to lunch. The place she hammered her tattoo was pretty dark, but I found a spot, which was just around the corner, where the sun was shining bright. Not perfect, but close by. As I got to know the family, I wanted to diplay the family bonds. Her brother Rudi helped us navigate the village and his granddaughter Grace Palicas is already stepping in to continue the tattoo legacy of her granny, who believes the art of the tradional tattoo mambabatok ought to be only transferred through blood lineage and only women do it...

In Manila space is rare, so it's custom to pile graves on top of eachother, thus creating interesting structures of an necropolis in the southern cemetery of Makati.

Tura Color HR200 - Another deadstock film

With films being discontinued all the time, it is important to keep alive the memory of those that have gone (from production) so we will know how to liberate them if opportunity arises. For all film has only one true destiny: To be lovingly exposed and developed!

Autumn in Color - November 2017 - my nice Minolta XD7 with a non Minolta 28/2,8 and a Minolta Rokkor MD 2/45er. The expired and crossed Fuji Sensia 100 shows quite normal colors shot in daylight and very greenish, yellowish in artificial night-light. The Minolta is so reliable when used in the automatic modes and a joy to use.
