• Porto, the name of the old capital of portugal

I explored Porto on foot trying alaways to find something new. Porto is a charming city on Portugal's north coast. The Douro River meanders down through a valley of the same name and reaches the sea here in Porto.  The city derives its name from being a sea port but then gives its name to the fortified wine of the region. The grapes used for port wine are grown up river in the Douro Valley. The wine is made there in the valley, and then transported down river to Porto where it is cave-aged and then shipped out.
