I have not really been shooting much the past couple of years. I really miss it, but I don't have much inspo. So, it was really awesome when my friend from New Jersey sent me a flyer about a Lomo photo-walk in Chicago for the Metropolis film. Ironically, I thought she was sending me the flyer b/c they used 3 of my pics for the ad, but it was all pure irony (she had no clue the pics were mine)! It was a cold, rainy day and I had the BEST time. I needed to be around fellow creatives and it was super cool to meet Birgit in person. My pics are super mediocre, but I had a blast. That's what counts right? I really think the Lomo Metropolis film craves sun, but I love the muted hues and contrast all the same.

I went by my place yestertoday and found this pic. I shot it when I took my first Photography class my senior year in college. This is when my love for analogue photography began. (*fyi: the creases are from how I glued the print into my photo album.) Shot w/ my mom's old Pentax loaded w/ Kodak (a requirement for the class when we were in school...type? No clue.)

Shot w/ my Land Camera 230 loaded w/ Supersense One Instant. I HAD to get this film after I saw someone's photo w/ it during 'Roid Week. I watched so many videos to prep for it. I absolutely love this film and now I have to save money to buy some more!! I'm hooked!

A Creative Symbiosis: Jamie Ceasar with Model Rechel Renay

In this photo series, two strangers met up for a creative collaboration on two contrasting film stocks. Two random combinations turned out to be a fourfold photographic match made in heaven. This is Jamie Ceasar's portrait series of Rechel Renay on LomoChrome Purple and B&W Earl Grey film.
