   ha ha Kurukshetra was a place where greatest battle in hindu epic, mahabharata took place :) an odd name for a yoga place :D

   Thanks for the comment and you are right.
   The Bhagavad Gita is a small part of Mahabharat, when the battle between the clans Kauravas and Pandus takes place on Kurukshetra. This is also the time when the main character Arjuna face doubts and meet Krishna, first as a friend for consulting and then Krishna becomes Arjunas guru. Bhagavad Gita is one of the top most important scriptures in Vaishnavism (one branch are called generally the Hare Krishna movement ... which is many missions founded by different spiritual masters). So in the end ... It's not so strange that this yoga place is called Kurukshetra since it's a yoga place not only for the health of your body but foremost for your soul.
