    shared by moodification on 2013-05-21

My dear friend artichekt took me on a lomowalk to show me a little part of the amazing architecture of Düsseldorf. It was a sunny day and we just couldn't stop walking, talking and taking pictures. In fact we both ended up with a bad sunburn ;-)) Nonetheless it was a great day! Thanks for doing this with me, pal! - Home developed in Tetenal C41 Rapid Kit -

  • Lomowalk Big Air Package - Gasometer Oberhausen

    shared by moodification on 2013-06-04

We made a lomowalk with a few lomofriends to the Big Air Package by Christo in Oberhausen. Impressive and huge! After a few shots I obviously switched the format switch from full frame to half frame without noticing. But I kinda like the overlapping frames resulting from this. - Home developed in Tetenal C41 Rapid Kit -

The weather forced us to do an indoor Lomowalk - that we wanted to do under the burning sun. So we chose the Gasometer in Oberhausen with the wicked intallation "Big Air Package" by Christo. Great thing! It's a big bubble that stays erected because of the pressure inside - but you can enter anyway... what a weird impression!!! You live the total loss of proportions and measures.... and light! Because as you see my freestyle-exposure-technique didn't work :-( It was way darker than I thought it was...

  • Where I met Muhammad

    shared by artichekt on 2013-05-13

Muhammad is a bus driver, that day he had service on a bus line near the place I work. At a certain point he told his passengers that he would make a spontaneous detour - and he knows that everybody is in a hurry, but it will be worth 5 minutes of their lifetime. Nobody complained, and Muhammad steered his vehicle on a small road just wide enough for this huge bus. He stopped right beside the endless colourful fields of a tulip farm that are out of sight from the main highway, opened the doors and asked his passengers „Now look at this splendour – have you ever seen such a beauty?“ All imaginable colours from different shades of white to yellow, orange, red, pink, purple up to almost black in broad an narrow stripes loosing themselves behind the horizon creating a spectecular scenery. I was taking some photos there when Muhammad stopped his bus right beside me. We had a quick chat, he told me what he could tell me in 3 minutes, he asked me if I could take a photo of him that he could send to his family in Afghanistan... and there were tears running down his cheeks when he smiled at me while pointing out to the tulips saying „These are the things that make life worth living.“ Then he jumped on his bus, started the Diesel engine and took his passengers back to their reality. In my scope of work I have to deal with lots of people earning 1.000.000 Euros and more per year as a CEO, COO, CSPO, CEM, COB, CBDO or some similar crap like that building homes that cost several millions of Euros. For themselves and their families. I learned to reject requests from these people calling themselves „businessman“ who cause me a certain disgust – because it’s them that make this world go out of balance. My deepest respect for Muhammad, my personal hero of the day. I wish there would be more of his kind.
