I wanted to try shooting a whole roll on my Asahi 50mm lens at as close a distance as possible with the aperture wide open. (Most of these were shot at f1.4.)

I believe that no matter how popular or well-documented a place is, there’s always something new to photograph.

I don't know how many packs of Impossible's Silver Shade I've burnt through trying to master the new film's idiosyncrasies, but it's MANY. After much frustration and disappointment however, I am finally beginning to get some interesting (or at least passable) results. This was taken on my very first pack of Silver Shade in the Fitzroy gardens. Once I'd realised that my shots would overexpose terribly in the direct light of the sun, I placed myself under the shade of an enormous tree to see if that would help. It did.

This was shot indoors with natural light being slightly diffused through the window. This is the first PX 600 image I was genuinely excited about.

This was taken in the afternoon, shielded from light immediately (albeit clumsily) using a darkslide, and left in my pocket to develop.
