Werra_test_roll_feb2022

I've been looking for a working Werra for a few years... When I finally found one at a flea market, it was a bit scruffy and missing some parts, but what was there seemed to be functioning ok. After a bit of fiddling and cleaning – here we go! (Fomapan probably wasn't the best choice to really test the Tessar lens, but as the weather looks so pretty in the photos, I decided to post them anyway.)

@aleatorius Oh wow... That is probably the coolest comment I can think of. Thanks! (Michael Caine as Harry Palmer... directed by Ken Russell! In 1967! And according to IMDB, parts of it were shot just a couple of blocks from my home. Even better!)

@anttihoo yeah, watch it! It is very bizarre but quite entertaining ;) also it parodies a lot of cinema classic, from Alexander Nevsky by Eisenstein to James Bond

@aleatorius I absolutely must! I already checked the trailer, and it has everything a great film needs (Sixties maverick arthouse director, Caine, Finland as a hilarious substitute to Soviet Union, action scenes with mad jazz soundtrack reminiscent of a Seijun Suzuki yakuza film – and yes, glorious techincolor). It's weird that I don't remember ever seeing it. Thanks for the tip!
