Analogue Adventures

There is literally nothing more gratifying than peeling apart Polaroid film or picking up a newly developed roll, or if you’re like me back in the day, developing your own work, to see what you have created with your camera. The rewarding surprise of an amazing shot, or a “did i really shoot that” moment. In this day and age, everything is now, now, now, most people have turned into iPhone photographers, instant results, no need for patience. They will never have the satisfaction of taking the time to shoot and develop film. I for one am very glad that I was born when I was, having the ability to really appreciate the art of film development, learning darkroom techniques, and really the whole process, the behind the scenes of photography. Right now I am waiting for 5 rolls of film to comeback, a 620 ex 1979, 110 ex 1989, and 35mm Svema ex 1991, plus two 35mm 100 speed lomography films and granted I am really excited to see what’s on them, I wouldn’t change that for instant gratification. This is why I love analogue photography!
