Take Two - Caffenol

I wanted to try Caffenol. I have read about it, seen many photos processed in the stuff, and decided it was time for me to try it.

First roll was way too strong and developed way too long so the negatives were jet black and impossible to scan.

Second roll, I reduced the mix WAY back, but used the last of my test film, which is junk Ultrafine Pro 100 film. While this film is great for pure testing when nothing useful is required, it sucks for anything else. In this case, it both failed and succeeded because of it's awful grain and the paper leaving it's printing on the film.

The good news is, the shots came out, my Caffenol mix was right and I was able to scan them. Sadly, I shot the second roll using a very cheesy macro lens so the shots themselves are nothing to write home about.

I decided to scan both in BW and color because these things need to be done in color, the film is tinted brown and begs for some color goodness. So, here they are, the first scans from that roll. Artsy, yes. Seriously, no. Fun, heck yes.
