Images from a very special shooting with a performance artist in Berlin. My job was to follow her through this old building to catch the motions and emotions of the moment. A real challenge. *gg*

Fotomarathon Berlin 2016: Jenseits aller Grenzen / Beyond limits/borders | This year we won again: 1st place in the analogue section, 7th place in the whole score plus winner in the special section "2016 Fotomarathon x 7: The perfect place". | Fotomarathon is a competition under extreme circumstances. Within 12 hours participants must put together a series of 12 photos. One city, 12 hours, 12 topic. In times of digital photography it is a bit easier to find the right illustration for each theme. However, one thing remains the same: photos must be made in the given order. And each individual theme is revealed during the Fotomarathon day itself. | www.fotomarathon.de | A special thank to @sushi_9009 and @masha_njam

In my continuing quest to experiment with the boundaries between analogue and digital in the spirit of what I call 'A+' (analogue plus digital refinement), I took some of my analogue shots to make collages in Photoshop. All of the shots used in this series are available elsewhere in my Lomohome.

If black or in colour Mount Rigi was an impressive sight. The weather changed quickly, but @vicuna and me did the best of each situation. juggling colour slide and black and white for each new situation.

Better see it once than hear of it a hundred times. The Great Wall of China, traditionally known to the Chinese as the "Long Wall of Ten Thousand Li" . . . There in the mist, enormous, majestic, silent and incredible.

abandoned and forgotten School of physiotherapy. testing an ilford pan 400 on iso 2500. the School closed down someday in the last ten years. a huge and wonderful old-styled building out of the last century with a lot of lovely details...some rooms got a very disgusting smell...especially the really nice bathtub was full of rotten shit, blood, chipped wood and grubs. ...and again a lot of vandalism, danger of collapse and rearranging photographers.

I shot this in July 2014 at 25ASA but deliberated for ages on whether to buy the special high contrast developer or just to wing it with Caffenol like I normally do. Finally, with some help, I decided on using the Caffenol Delta Micro recipe and I'm actually quite pelased with the results. Some shots are mostly black but I love the subtle detail present. I also like that some shots look sort of solarised. I'm not sure how that happened. These shots were taken in an abandoned china clay industry place. There were a MILLION seagulls living there that made the most immense noise at our presence. I wish I could add sound effects.
