Learning the Art of Letting Go

Now, “don’t think, just shoot” has a deeper meaning for me: As I take each shot with my toy cameras, I simultaneously let go of worrying whether I got it right. As I press and let go of the shutter button, I let go of the fear of taking a crappy shot. Read how Lomography has taught me how to breathe easy.

Getting Stoked in San Juan La Union

The hot sun and sand, the cool water and awesome consistent waves of San Juan, La Union is my favorite destination in the whole of Luzon! Even if it is 5 hours away from my home in Manila, Philippines, I would gladly leave at 1AM to catch waves early in the morning and then leave after dinner to get enough sleep before work the next day! (OK, so I’ll probably have someone else drive)

The City of Clear Blue Skies - Laoag, Ilocos Norte

I never thought I would be trigger happy during this trip because I don’t particularly like taking pictures of busy streets. Little did I know that I would instantly fall in love with the city scene, the old Spanish buildings, mansions and pretty much everything that depicts this beautiful city!

Owning One of A Hundred Islands

For that day, we owned one private, beautiful island. It was probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. Indeed, it's an island, but a really small one. It's sand was white but it wasn't the finest. It's water was clear but it wasn't the bluest.. But what made the difference was, that it was ours!!!

    Hanging out at High Street

I rarely go to Bonifacio High Street. It’s too out of the way, it’s too hot, it’s too expensive! But because I was desperate to shoot film, me, Shabby and basterda walked the 400 meter street under the hot blazing sun!!!

Velvia Love and Exposure: Fuji Velvia (35mm, 100 iso) User-Review

Fuji Velvia wasn't my favorite film at first. In fact, I bought a bunch of expired rolls of this film, and then after a few test rolls, I wanted to sell off the rest of my stock! Now, I can't seem to get enough of it -- I'm even looking to buy more cameras to use it with!!! Let me show you what I've learned about it by sharing with you my pictures...
