Anyone using a Digitaliza 120

I’ve noticed newton rings (that rainbow effect you get when a neg touches the scanning glass) on my 120 scans recently using the frame that came with my canon 8800F scanner.

Any of you guys using a 120 version of the Digitaliza? If so, how have you found it?

Hi, I use it. It is quite good, even though the mask I use (which is the one that came with my Epson 500) is also quite good. But the Digitaliza 120 does make the job much easier, as you flat nicely your slide with the help of a metal plate that does come out later.

@pussylove's_rings perhaps I should have chosen thescientist as my name not adam_g2000!

@anafaro does it grip the negatives firmly at the side as well as the ends?

Yes, it does. I mean, there's about 2mm of support on each side of the negative. Because you stretch out the negative with the help of a metal plate and the top plate (that has some magnets on it) the negative gets really nicely flat and when you remove the support plate, its stays nicely in place. Again, for me in the end it was not super worth getting it as the mask of the Epson 500 is also doing a good job. But the Digitalza mask is definitely well design to do its job. Hope this comment helps. :)

@anafaro the canon mask is pathetic. Sounds like I need one of these then!
