Much of my interest for Lomography comes from the fact that surprise and luck are VERY important. I mean, my best shots are often good surprises, pics that were never meant to be so nice. So for this rumble I want to show my worst surprises, pictures I was sure would be greaaaaat ones but turned out really bad haha... You know what I mean, it makes you sooo sad/angry/frustrated when you have the first look at your fucked up image on screen/paper.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I play in this band and the leader asked me to take the band main picture with one of my cams, because he liked the vintage style, a lot. But our faces got burned, we all look like s***t! and this was finally not usable for promotion and other stuffs :(. I also had a really stressy smile on this one hahaha!

hodachrome and I have recently completed two film soup swaps.. One roll started off in UK, and ended up in Japan and on finishing the roll, Hodaka cooked the film using this recipe here: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/02/27/lets-cook-the-film-the-recipe-of-film-soup The other roll started off in Japan and ended up with me in the UK.. On completing the roll, I mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then I went into my make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next I flicked and dabbed the soup onto the exposed film. I waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards I went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom I pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done I rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We do not discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise.. I took me some time to work on this album, which was shot more then two years ago. But considering the old adriatic architecture of the croatian island of Korcula a few years don't realy make a difference...

  • Perutz 100 Chrome very very very expired

    shared by freshmeat_omd on 2014-03-19

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... :D

  • Seoul Fashion Week: Third Eye’s The Charm

    shared by arguspaul on 2016-04-19

The 2016 Spring Session of Seoul Fashion Week went off without a hitch between March 21st and the 26th. Continuing my project of fashion portraiture taken during this event, I was pleased to find enthusiasm had grown from the last time I stumbled into the alien-like Dongdaemun Design Plaza with my twin lens reflex camera. This being my third time attending, I decided to focus on creating a great many of my “third eye” portraits. I had made a few before during my last two visits but I felt this time I really wanted to push how many I could capture. Though of course, I also experimented with other forms of composition. All in all, I think this session of SFW was the most productive I’ve had. Maybe it’s because I’ve grown familiar with it and know what to expect. Maybe it was luck. Either way, I felt totally at ease moving through the crowd. In a weird way, I felt like I was dancing. As if I was moving to the external rhythm of the event. And then suddenly, there would be these beautiful moments of meeting new people and creating a connection. Being given permission to really look at someone is a strange mixture of intense sensitivity. Not only that, but for me, there is always a sense of spectacle and the apparition of glamour that adds another level of fascination to Seoul Fashion Week. I continually hear John Berger’s thoughts echoing in my own third eye as I witness this new cultural tradition take place in the heart of Seoul, South Korea.

  • The Coll de Pal

    shared by oriolphotography on 2017-02-15

This is one of my favourite roads. The Coll de Pal links the Berguedà (Barcelona province) with the Cerdanya (Girona province) in a scenic road instead of the tunnel of the Cadí. It is a narrow road, with tarmac only at the Barcelona section, so you need a 4 wd car in order to finish the section in Girona. The views are breathtaking, specailly the views of the Pedraforca, and there are chamois on the top of the Coll de Pal (you can see some in the picture of the hill with snow, the points you can see in the snow are chamois, there were around 40 of them!)
