What are You Thankful For?

Since it is almost Thanksgiving, I wanted to come up with some things that I am thankful for and I want to know some of the things that you all are thankful for too. :)

Leaves changing- As Lomographers, we all love when the leaves change into the gorgeous colors reds, yellows, oranges and purples of the fall. Working in the small town of Massillon, I get to drive through the fall foliage everyday and it does my heart good to all the pretty colors.

My friends and family- It is all too easy to take friends and family for granted and I think that this time of year is the best time to re-kindle and strengthen your relationships with those you love most. And maybe take this time of caring as a chance to reach out to others.

Vacations- I can;t get too deep and touching in this blog, still gotta have some fun. And this is the perfect time for vacations, a time when you can just put the world and all your troubles aside. Whether it is half-way crossed the world or right down the street, we all need to decompress sometimes.

Lomography- It might seem contrived but I am really thankful that I am able to express myself through photographs and through my writings. And Lomography and the lomographic community has given this mild-mannered Librarian a voice and an outlet.

Darn, I just got deep and feelings-y again. lol

Anyways, now it’s your turn. What are some of the things that you are thankful for during this time or any time during the year?

Thanks all, and as always,
Happy Snappin’
Tim Pawlak

Pets. Unconditional love and the occasional healthy romp from a dog, cat, lizard (?), even bird or maybe fish (?!). I'm thankful for a pet to be in my life. :3

@diomaxwelle there is nothing like a pet, and I would say they would fit into the family section. lol

Believe it or not, me and my boyfriend are really thankful that this cute, little terrorist is living with us now: www.lomography.com/homes/saidseni/photos/17434261. Don't matter how frustrated with life we are, he always make us smile! :)

My boyfriend, my independance and I guess the thing I am thankful for most is that I was born priviledged enough to be born in UK which means no matter if I can't afford a roll or two of film but I'm always, warm and well fed !

@issyonlydreams: Good point indeed - although we never now if it will always be like that but you are right, I'm also thankful for those 3 things. Actually, I'm also thankful to be born in PT and have SUN (almost) all year round! :))

@saidseni Thanks so much :) Portugal has always been somewhere that I have wanted to travel to. I thought doing this would be a fun way of spurring some good will and some good conversation and I think it may have just done the trick. lol
