I was doing a search on Ebay recently for 127 cameras. There are tons of neat older cameras that use 127 film and I like to look and see what is out there sometimes. Well, this thing popped up. It's from 1945 and it was sold as a kit camera from the classfied ads page in Popular Science magazine. These are very rare, only a few examples are known. Mine was beat up and neglected but even though it's rare it isn't really worth too much so I decided to go ahead and make it my own kit camera. So I fixed up the shutter, took it apart and cleaned everything, then lightly refinished the wood, stole a red window off another camera and installed it. Then I gave it a fresh coat of shellac which would have been a period correct treatment. It looks and works great now.,
