Lomography x EXP.22: Experimental Photography

Lomography has teamed up with the EXP.22, the International Festival of Experimental Photography, to offer you the chance of winning two free tickets to join the virtual edition of the Festival!

EXP.22 will take place in Barcelona, Spain, between the 20th and 24th of July, 2022, and will host 80 workshops, 40 conferences, and 10 activities with 46 international artists and curators. The festival is organized by a non-profit cultural association that aims to create, promote, and disseminate experimental photography in all its aspects.

With this in mind, we invite you to submit up to 10 of your best photos that defy Experimental Photography. Did you try something different, used a new camera or technique, or simply created a photo that went against everything you were used to? If so, submit them at this LomoMission. Together with EXP.22, we will choose three winners!

1st prize

  • Free FULL EXP.22 Online festival Ticket. You can join the festival from anywhere in the world! (Conferences + 5 Workshops included)

2nd prize

  • Free BASIC EXP.22 Online festival Ticket to EXP.22 Online Festival. You can join the festival from anywhere in the world! (Conferences + 1 Workshop included)

3rd prize

Each participant may submit up to 10 photographs shot on film. This competition is open worldwide and closes on June 30th.

What to expect from EXP.22: More than 400 international artists and lovers of photography with the goal of creating a common space to share, learn, and discuss the experimental photography in its many facets: from the creation of cameras, lenses and films to printing processes, intervention, and production of copies, exhibitions and books in house. Among the activities organized include workshops, round-tables, conferences, presentations of projects, and experiences, portfolio reviews, individual and collective exhibitions, performances and music.
