Yesterday we took a drive out to the Gloucester area on the coast just north of Boston. I decided to test my 1940's Spartus "35" camera. It's made of bakelite and looks very similar to the Sprocket Rocket but is a little smaller and has 3 apertures on it. These were made from the late 40's through the mid 50's and mine is one of the very early ones so it is simpler than the later models. Great cam, needs a little light steel wool or superfine sandpaper on the film path area because it scratches the film up pretty bad. But I love the shutter action on it and the film advance is really nifty. I'll be running some slower film through it next as it overexposed the 400 XP2 quite a bit even with the aperture set to 16.
