An auto repair place near our home had two very old Detroit Standard style Fire Hydrants by their front gates, I had photographed them a time or two. So when I notice they had installed a new fence and gate, I stopped in and asked what they where going to do with the hydrants. The owner wanted to make them into a water feature by their home's swimming pool, but the wife was having none of that, so I was able to procure them. This is us bring them home.
