Film 101: Is there such a thing as black and white slide film?
Yes, there is, well… was such a thing. Agfa Scala is a type of black and white slide film. It is no longer produced and Lomography.com does not offer it either.
But hey! Don’t be sad. Cross-processing can help you here, too.
If you are looking into black and white slides, you can cross-process any black and white negative film and get a slide out of it. Be aware though, that the normal black and white negative films don’t have a completely transparent base layer.
With that, you will need a film with a clear base. Some of these films are:
- Fomapan R100
- Rollei Superpan 200
- Rollei Infrared 400
- MACO PO 100c
