US CitySlicker Deb: Bradford Beach & Wisconsin's Hidden Treasures

It's hard to pass up an opportunity when you're put at an ultimatum to either stay in the city, or drive an hour away for only a few hours before work. This is what I've faced not too long ago when sitting in my boyfriend's living room on a hot Milwaukee summer day, alongside the events that were soon to follow.

US CitySlicker Jeff goes to China

Earlier this summer I was fortunate enough to be asked to play percussion with the Bard Conservatory Orchestra on their greater China tour. We played 7 concerts in 7 different cities over the course of 3 weeks! Luckily, there was also just enough down time to explore a bit. Read on to hear about the highlights of my trip!

    Travelling Through Books

I use to read a lot. When I was a child, I read books like there was no tomorrow. Of course, I did not understand everything, but I kept reading and looking things up in the encyclopedia set my parents had gotten for me as a child. My main genres were science fiction and memoirs. US CitySlicker clownshoes: Skate Hunt: The Search for Skaters

Now I haven't thought about skating in a long time. In high school I had friends who would skate board; but I never got too into the whole scene. Regardless I was aware of where I might find some people or kids skating here in sunny South Florida.

US City Slicker rwins: An Afternoon at the Wilson Skate Park

Since Go Skateboarding day is coming up soon, I decided to pack a few cameras and head to the Wilson Skate Park to take some pictures of the local Chicago skaters. Armed with my Diana Mini, Minolta XG-M, and a few rolls of film, I made my way to the park.
