The Holga Mod: Modifying the Aperture Settings
written by urban_spacegirl on 2012-04-03 #gear #tutorialsIf you are a hardcore Holga fan or have already taken the time to look up some sites featuring Holga mods and hacks (or to take apart your camera for that matter), you will know that the Holga, despite sporting a switch for two different aperture settings for sunny and cloudy conditions, only features one aperture. This is due to the fact that switching from cloudy to sunny causes an arm to slide in front of the lens opening, the area of the hole on that arm (which is supposed to allow less light in) is larger than that of the aperture; i.e. the amount of light remains the same.

Holga 135
written by stinketier on 2008-11-14 #gearThe Holga 135 is the little brother (or sister) of the great classic and legendary Holga. The Holga 135 is a small plastic camera for 35mm films. This is the first big difference to the classic Holga. Another difference is, that the Holga 135mm is, of course, a bit smaller. But one thing is still the same, the plastic lens. You get really soft and dreamy pictures with this camera on a 35mm film, so you don't have to modify your old Holga.

Analogue Urban Exploring in Dadipark
written by pinkpix on 2011-08-21 #placesTogether with a small group of friends, I went to the abandoned amusement park 'Dadipark', which closed almost 10 years ago after a series of accidents in which a 9-year-old boy lost his arm. Although more and more people find their way to this park as it is an open secret, it is still quite intact. It was freaky and fascinating. And definitely worth a visit.
