    The Blackpool Lomo Meet!

So after a few wet wintery meet-ups in the North of England, we carefully planed the next one for June, thinking this guaranteed us with glorious weather, and a much drier day of it. Turn out we got this very very wrong.

Wigan: It Doesn't Have to Be Grim up North

My hometown, Wigan, has had some bad press in its time. Most famously in 'The Road to Wigan Pier' by George Orwell. In this book, Orwell set out to highlight the immense poverty of industrial mill-towns across working-class England and he reserved his last stop and the title of his book for the worst: Wigan. I hope to show that it is no longer so.

    LomoAmigos: Aquilo

Performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury Festival last year was one mean feat for Lancashire, England-based electronic musical duo Aquilo. Mancunian Monuments: The City's Permanent Residents

It was Banksy who said, "If you want someone to be ignored, then build a life-sized bronze statue of them and stick it in the middle of town." I hope to prove him wrong with this article on the statues and street art of Manchester.

    Blackpool Promenade

This stretch of coastline has felt many-a-tourist's sandals/bare feet trot along it in the past. But is it really the same today as it was back when it was popular? But the important question is, does it still have that special something about it?

    Heysham in Black and White

Heysham is a village just outside Lancaster that overlooks Morecambe Bay. The village is probably most famous for its port and nuclear power plants; however once you look past those, the village also has amazing history and heritage as well as gorgeous coastlines.
