testing the LC-W

i now shot 4 or 5 rolls (about 150 shots) with this cam but only got few sharp/crisp pictures. - less than 40%. this roll is OK compared to the ones before. but having a look at the LC-W photo collection of LSI i have to say that even my sharpest shot is far from being as sharp as the ones shown there. pretty often there is such a blurry unsharp soup on the pics.
i even tested the cam with an inch rule and did only get one crisp shot with the exact setting. take a look at the last shot of the album: there are several layers and one of them has to be sharp due to the settings. but no.

    @bloomchen I have the same problem with the LCA+ , I went to lomo shop because I wondered why my images were 1/5 sharp from the ones i saw in the LSI collection. They told me it might be about the roll and the xpro process so I am trying now with a negative roll iso200. @blueskyandhardrock and I had this same conversation months ago... I guess this camera and me just don´t understand each other ^^

    naja so wirklich scharf schauen sie nicht aus , da hast du recht... schaut mehr nach diana mini aus.. sind sie im scann programm geschärft? ich würde es auch mal mit einem nicht abgelaufenen Negative film testen.. ansonsten bei lomo melden, da es ja kein billiger spass ist!

    @marta1901 @suizidekid well, looking at the LSI most popular there are many crisp xpro shots. shots i did not get. and looking at my shots i made some similar shots for example a shot of my feet/shoes. while one is almost sharp the others are not. it looks a bit random to me. and as said i tested the settings with the exact distance and only one shot is sharp (40-90cm setting with object 40cm away) all others are blurry. i did not upload them to this album.

    @bloomchen I understand what you mean, but I am far from being an expert so i can´t really help, I just wanted to let you know you were not the only one having problems with sharpness in this camera. Maybe you should have it tested in Vienna.

    das ist ja schade , meine sind auch nicht immer scharf , aber die im Nahbereich und die in der "nahen Ferne" eigentlich schon . Ich würde die LC-W zurückschicken .

    @kleeblatt ja ich werde sie wohl morgen im store tauschen. gerade dieses erste bild hier ist bezeichnend. ich habe noch kein "system" erkennen können wann die bilder scharf sind und wann nicht. auch dieses bild: www.lomography.com/homes/bloomchen/albums/1983597-lc-w-test… sieht auf den ersten blick scharf aus, aber wenn man mal den baum und alles andere eigentlich auch genau anschaut dann erkennt man, dass nichts scharf ist. im infinity bereich sollte das aber möglich sein. auch mit einem slide film.

    das is ja echt schade :( hoffe deine umgetauschte kamera macht jetzt scharfe bilder.. ich hab das problem mit meiner nämlich garnicht !
