Quite amazing, sliding up and down a post is a major fitness trend in Australia, UK and the US. Despite the fact, that the girls doing it with clothes on and not in a night club, the whole thing is still very sexy. But that is the idea: Bringing fitness and fun together. In London the whole movement was started around five years ago by a tv-journalist called Alison Hudd. With her Pole People she created a trend and is now coaching 300 gals a week. There are about 50 companies in London now who give courses and they are always looking for good lectures. the exercises are quite demanding. You have to pull yourself up the pole and try to do all the moves in the most elegant way. Everybody could do it and there have been 65 year old grannies been in the club as well as men. Probably they only come to watch the girls ;)
