the Morris Hotel

If you angle your Holga just so, against the sun; if your distance focus is off and you have the camera set for a cloudy day when it is obviously sunny; and you E6 your T-64…. well, you might get something wonky and wonderful. The Morris Hotel has a lot of character. A LOT! I pass by it on my commute to work. It gets my attention every time. I want to photograph it daily - even though it is Reno's skid row. The other day I noticed there is a parking lot behind the hotel, but there are no cars in it. The homeless were sleeping there, on the ground, next to their shopping carts. I want to bring them donuts and coffee… and find the nerve to enter the lobby. With my camera.

vici This photo was shot on film. Taken by vici with a Holga 120 CFN (available in our Online Shop) loaded with Fuji T64 Pro film in Reno, NV, United States. I see what you mean, almost a tilt-shift effect. Great shot!
