Various ways of avoiding visual contact with the outside world using silver duct tape

a few weeks ago i saw drawings of the belgian painter and filmmaker Michaël Borremans named "various ways of avoiding visual contact with the outside world using yellow isolating tape" (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l0muw5ylm01qzz9uzo1_500.jpg). i thought immediately i have to do this in photos. i liked the drawings and loved the title - coolest title ever i think (before it was "who's afraid of red, yellow and blue?"). i replaced the yellow isolating tape with silver duct tape and tried to adapt it. unfortunately it was pretty difficult to do as you may imagine that tape in the hair and on the eyebrows does not lead to enthusiastic exclamations like "hooray!" or "hell yes, paste me! i love the feeling of tape on my skin." a few words on the results: i like 2 of these shots pretty much. the others could have been better in matter of really copying the way the tape is pasted but i understand that it´s not nice to have tape removed and fixed and removed and fixed again until it´s really the way it is on the drawing.

@stonerfairy thanks for your liking the album. no, they won´t be on display somewhere. i just wanted to copy/adapt the drawings for me. in fact i never exhibited something.
to not hurt her with the tape - even though duct tape is not that bad - i took one layer of toilet paper and put it on the tape except for the edges so it didn´t hurt too bad. but in the hair it´s kinda bad anyways.
