Jars

Jars

It was an obvious choice which to submit to the competition, really. The school had an old Biology lab that was used for dissections back when the syllabus called for it. There were jars upon jars of stuff in chloroform or some other preservatives, and a back room full of stuffed, and in some cases rare, animals. Given the long history of the school, I can see how some of these specimens got collected on the way... Much of the animals in the jars had to be thrown away because the preservation process wasn't good enough for archival. The lab is no longer in existence since the renovation of the building it was in. You can still find the one remaining exhibit in the school, an extremely long snake skeleton, along with other artifacts in the archives.
