A tribal dance of the indigenous people of Maco was presented as an opening ritual to the celebration of health service programs in this town. How wonderful it was to see young people of their tribe proudly performing their traditional dance. In many indigenous peoples communities all over the Philippines traditions are endangered by the influx of modern culture, internet and fast paced technology. The dance was offered as a blessing and sign of celebration for the significant services rendered by the various local government programs on health particularly maternal and child health.
