    So sorry to hear about the slip and rip. Hopefully it wasn't so badly damaged that you can't use it as a guide to cut down some 120 backing paper. It just occurred to me, that I'm goning to have to figure out how to scan 127. When I tested my cameras I did the same trick, 35 wound on the 127 spool, so scanning wasn't a problem. hmmmm

    @alburnkat It's not a huge issue since I had 10 rolls of the 127 to begin with and now only 3 empty backing papers. Eventually I'll create my own, but for now I can keep using the real deal.

Proof of Concept

I read someplace that I could reuse the 127 backing paper and spooled some 35mm film into the Comet. Other than the reel slipping off while advancing frames, tearing the paper and jamming the roll, things went pretty well I think.
