Usually, for the contests and rumbles I just scour what I already have shot and see if I have anything appropriate. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. But when the Rauw rumble got announced I was really, really, really into it. I wanted to take it and make it mine. I decided to shoot for it but to do something distinctly mine. I also wandered into territory that had burned me before. I think a lot of you have seen the multiple exposure roll I bungled last fall. So I came up with a concept contact Hunter and shot it all on a roll of Fuji Superia that was expired and heat damaged. I wanted something that looked like Beef Council ad meets a trashy hipster clothing catalog. It's a lot more deliberately sexy than anything I've shot before and darker too. I think I pulled it off. Hope you like it.
