My first Graflex Shot
This is the only surviving picture of my first roll of film that I shot with my Graflex. (It's a quarter plate large format camera but I acquired a rollfilm back for it) Stupid as I was I forgot to remove the dark slide whilst happily taking pictures (or so I thought) and winding the film. It seems like I am too spoiled by more convenient and more modern SLRs. Anyway, at least I got one image so I know that the old Lady works. The lens is a vintage 1947 Kodak Ektar 152mm. The statue is made from a silvery steel the golden shine in the image is purely a reflection of the evening sun.Taken by carsten-schmitt with a Graflex RB Super D loaded with Kodak Portra 400 film in Speyer, Germany.
