This 1940's bakelite beauty is really a nice little camera. I was happy with the Ilford XP2 roll so I thought I would try the redscale XR. I think it really wants a bit faster film but some of these came out decent anyway. Even though it only has one shutter speed you do have some control with it however as it has three apertures. There were several versions of this camera made. This is the earlier and somewhat simpler version, not the "Model 400" that usually comes up on Ebay.
Taken by clickiemcpete with a Spartus 35 loaded with Lomography Redscale XR 50-200 (35mm) film in massachusetts, United States. This photo can also be found in the album 1940's Spartus 35 w/Redscale XR.
