In the park adjacent to the cathedral in Puerto Princesa stood a humble monument honoring the lives of American POWs who perished in a fire before the end of World War II. The Japanese Imperial Army burned their prison houses before the American forces finally claimed victory in the Pacific. Took a few shots of the sculpture that features a POW trying to escape from the fire.
