I looove Wong Kar Wai as film-director, think I saw almost all his movies.... Had a BIG emotion by seeing both "In the mood for love" and a few years later "2046" during the Cannes Film Festival (you know, Cannes is only 20 mn from Nice and I got always entries for the film festival ;))) on the BIG WIDE screen of the main festival room were Maggie Cheung & Tony Leung have a face that is 3meters high when there's a close-up.... WAOW!!
And for the vocab' "joli", I answered your question @ the pic...
If you want to learn some more french, just ask! ;))
