My scanner is playing up so asked my friend to take photos of the negatives placed a lightbox with iPad. He did everything else for me. So my question is.... Do these count as analogue or digital? I'd like to know as I have 6 more films scanned this way!

If you ask me they most certainly count as analog. As you say yourself you did start with negatives (film) afterall. Every single picture on the internet are either 100% digital or they start "life" as negatives/positives on a film and are later digitized. So please don't leave those films unpublished!

I totally agree with @sierravictor. It started life on a negative which is all any of us here can say!
