After meeting the great LomoFolks in Osimo (superlighter, othar, gibri, lomike and goonies) I headed for Florence with a stopover in Assisi (VERY WORTH A VISIT - especially in January when there are no tourists) and Arezzo. Assisi is an absolutely breathtaking place for architects and all kinds of sensual people with technical pretensions. BUT...: San Francesco preached the renunciation of all secular values and lived the poor way like Jesus did. And what did "the church" do? They build a whole lot of pretentious cathedrals for him, with way too much gold and stuff... disgusting!

e nel 1948 in occasione delle prime elezioni democratiche milioni di Italioti andarono a vedere la statua della madonna che scuoteva il capo per la paura che i comunisti vincessero le elezioni, poi si scoprì che erano i frati che muovevano l'aureola fatta di luci per creare l'illusione...... more than disgusting

@superlighter - eh già... la gente della chiesa è pericolosa! Ho conosciuto un frate a Roma. Mi ha detto che vado a finire all'inferno perchè sono protestante. All'inizio mi sono divertito - alla fine ho scoperto che era assolutamente serio. Bestia come mi sono inc*zzato!!!! :-o
Poi quella invenzione della confessione!!!! Ma che c*gata è?? Posso fare tutte le str*nzate che voglio, poi vado a confessarmi e tutto va bene?!? Mammamia... mi sto incavolando sul serio solo a pensarci! :-O
