Refurbished Smena Symbol Test Drive

My Smena had been laying in a wardrobe and collecting dust, since a shutter cocking problem have taken place about 10 years ago. About a month ago i found a Symbol at a fleamarket just for 1€, (also with a really clean vilia for 3€ with a non-serious problem, which i quickly repaired later:)) with a seriously damaged lens, but shutter and timing was ok. After a few hours of precise workmanship, the two dead Smenas turned into one perfectly working Smena. This is an instant test roll to make sure the focus, aperture, etc. is ok, and to see there's absolutely not any light leak in the body.

This cam was something special for me as i shot the very first roll of mine, an orwo chrom ut18, when i was just 5 or 6 years old, which i still keep every frame intact. I could say, this is where everything begun for me. As i still have about 25 rolls of that great film, it seems like this camera still has to do a lot, of course if i can get that obsolete GDR film developed somehow...
