known as Se Cathedral, this is the Cathedral Church of the Arch-diocese of Goa, India.
Located in Old Goa, it is a living monument in UNESCO's World Heritage Site here.
The Cathedral was built by the Portuguese to commemorate their victory over the Muslim ruler Adil Shah and since the day of the victory happened to be on the Feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria, the Cathedral was dedicated to her.
With Corinthian interiors and Tuscan exteriors, the Se Cathedral of Santa Catarina has besides the main altar dedicated to St. Catherine, eight chapels and six altars on the side of the aisles.
