Start in Essen-Werden
Although summer is not yet officially pronounced dead, this day looked like the last real warm day for the year, with 28° C. So I packed my inflatable canoe, took a train ride of 45minutes and then paddled my way down the Ruhr. It was a lovely trip of 15km, and the Ruhr was quite empty while the shore was crowded all the time... :-)
