Tiki Tubing
Because I perpetually exist between New Orleans and Lafayette I decided to have my birthday party directly in between the two cities (mostly so no one could use the excuse that it was too far). Tiki tubing is a wonderful operation open in the summers where they bus you down to the river, give you a tube and ice chest floats and then you float down the river for about 4 hrs to where you originally parked. It is very chill--we drink a lot of beer and water, stop on a bank to eat sandwiches, and do our best to avoid knocking into trees that have fallen into the water. Always beer though! Don't drink liquor on this trip as you will get way too inebriated and dehydrate under the intense sun!
