Underground Railroad Memorial
A Monday afternoon trip to Detroit's Belle Isle and Downtown. I've been trying to get my husband to go with me into Detroit to keep a look out so I could focus on Photographing (not shooting) some of the Great Sights. We started on Belle Isle and where sadden by state of things, the fountain wasn't even running, and other sights where over grown. The City of Detroit just doesn't have the money for upkeep. At The Spirit of Detroit someone watching a surveillance camera told me over a loud speaker to get off the grass. This roll I shot once in March during our premature spring of early bloomers.
There used to be a restaurant in Toronto called "The Underground Railroad." It was in a historic building involved in the movement. Long closed though. Condos became more important (or at least lucrative)
