Arrived in Caticlan full of excitement as this part of the Panay island is just a 15-minute boat ride from the famous white sand beaches of Boracay. It was my first time to visit this tourist spot specially in peak season when hordes of people both local and foreign would seek the paradise as a sanctuary for the summer heat. I seldom travel out of my own pocket. Most of the beautiful places I've seen I've been to because of work. I just usually extend my stay to allow myself some R-and-R. The flight from Manila was smooth and the small plane's landing on a short runway was no cause for concern. When I got off the plane, I almost shouted - Boracay, here I come!
