The Manila North Cemetery didn't fail to impress me on my first visit. There's something lomographically interesting all around the crowded cemetery - both by the living and the dead. The main interior road became a market alley of foods, drinks and other commercial stuff you would expect to be sold only in the malls or in the public market. Well, the fuchsia pink coffin for photo-op was still relevant to the occasion but kinda weird. I tried to capture as much square shots in my film including the sprockets to cover the strange union of the sacred and the profane in this folk religious ritual honoring the departed.
