Yesterday, the 17th of August, I received the Digiprint/LBC package of my shots during a recent trip to Mindanao for the health caravan project. I was very much excited to view my shots in my laptop to find out whether my experimental doubles worked or not. Those who have been following my shots would notice my strong penchant for colors and textures. I tried to experiment with these qualities on the doubles I created documenting a dance ritual by young people of the Matigsalog tribe. The dance was presented as part of the opening salvo of the 2-day event promoting health among the people of Kitaotao in the mountainous province of Bukidnon, most of whom have traveled far, down mountains and across rivers to access health services.
