While the LBK team was waiting for our turn to meet the governor to explain to him what the health caravan project was all about, I decided to lomograph the statue by the staircase of Ninoy Aquino - the senator who was assassinated at the tarmac upon his return from exile during the Marcos dictatorship in August 21,1983. His death aroused more and wider public protests that eventually led to the bloodless coup d'etat known in Philippine history as EDSA People Power in 1986. He was the husband of the late President Cory Aquino and the father of the incumbent President Noynoy Aquino. This photo was shot on film. Taken by lakandula with a LCA+CL loaded with Fuji Provia 100F 35mm film in Tarlac City, Philippines. These tags describe this photo: aquino, ninoy, politics, xpro, capitol, and statue. Date: 2011-01.
