The Capelin Are Rolling!!! Just Before Canada Day!
A yearly event in Newfoundland ... a very Canadian thing! Always happens right around Canada Day! Wading through the rough waves feeling the pummel on the outside of your boots - or your feet if you can brave the cold. There are so many Capelin that you can scoop up handfuls with your bare hands. A classic Canadian Canada Day. I brought them home for dinner to feed the brood! My 3 year old ate 8 of them! This photo was shot on film. Taken by panzergirl with a Canon Ex Auto loaded with Lomography Redscale (35mm) film (available in our Online Shop) in Middle Cove, Canada. These tags describe this photo: canon, fish, outdoors, ocean, canada, newfoundland, atlantic, capelin, redscale, and beach. Date: 2011. This photo can also be found in the album The Capelin Are Rolling! Near Canada Day.
